Maui

Here are a few pictures from our trip. We stayed in a Condo just 2 blocks from Front Street in Lahaina and that was really nice to be so close to shops and restaurants. Our Condo community was called Aina Nalu and it was super nice, they had an amazing salt water pool and lounge area and we spent plenty of time there swimming, laying in the cabanas, playing cards and reading. We went to the beach pretty much every day and we found a black sand beach in Hana. It was a 3 hr trip to Hana and a 3 hr trip back we were so done with being in the car after that day. We ate at great restaurants and some not so great places like Penne Pasta, don't waste your time eating there in Lahaina they were grouchy and the food was mediocre. We were trying to decide what activity to do like a Helicopter tour, kayaking or deep sea fishing. Deep sea fishing sounded awesome! So we decided to go deep sea fishing, you leave at 3AM and drive 2 1/2 hours out into the ocean fish for live bait and then use the live bait to catch massive fish. Kirk checked it out the day before we went and the boat had great luck that day they caught a shark that they released and other fish so we were pretty amped. Our experience was probably the opposite of that. On our way out the boat starting having problems and water was coming in the engine and we lost speed so then we got out to the fishing spot late, we lost power and couldn't use the bathroom and we only caughy 2 tuna. We made it back at 11AM with our two tuna in hand totally disappointed, it was an experience and would've been really cool but the fish just weren't biting that day. All in all it was an awesome trip just doing whatever we wanted and I got to sea the beautiful island of Maui. We were really glad that Kevin's parents came and that his sister Erick and her husband Ryan came we just had so much fun with everyone. Thanks for making it such a fun trip, until next time.
